Seth Gottlieb: March 2008 Archives
The creators of the classic Mystery Science Theatre 3000, known for it's explotation of bad movies, have found a new target. Namely, BAD CARTOONS!
Gary Gygax, co creator of Dungeons and Dragons RPG, passed away today at age 69. Aside from creating D & D and other games, he was a co founder of TSR, a writer, fantasy author, and, in recent years, appeared or played himself on various shows (most notably Futurama, where he co starred with Stephen Hawking, Nichelle Nichols, and Al Gore).
He was an inspiration to a generation of people (like myself) who gained an interest in Sci Fi and fantasy through gaming. Even popular online games like World of Warcraft, or MUDS were influenced by this genre.
R.I.P. Gary
