I couldn't get past the first couple of paragraphs. Orson Scott Card is way overrated to me. I read "Ender's Game" for the first time a few months ago, and while I enjoyed it, I didn't get why everyone in the world seems to have fallen in love with it. It was predictable and I felt like not enough actually happened to feel like it was any sort of thrill ride.
I think the man's gotten cocky over the years. Now he's reviewing films with overly-lengthy discussions before getting to the actual review, almost as if he's trying to show how much he knows about the art of filmmaking -- give me a break. Cut that article in half and maybe I'll take another look.
