Rest in Peace Charlton Heston

He died yesterday. I just found out.

There can be no better tribute than this:

At last we can retire his rifle. This is best.

Life and liberty.

Recognize the second "Legend": The Omega Man!

I don't have to write much about Charlton Heston, really. His actions spoke larger than my words.

I have a few other magnificent points to make. It wasn't merely Mr. Heston's strength of character that was wonderful, as that it is irrelevant here. But his own strength shines through in the delivery. That's why he was a political figure. That's why he was cast to play Moses. That's why he could read off the following and be fully credible.

I don't even believe in his Old Earth assertions, yet his expression carries weight on a scientific topic.

I haven't seen everything he made. I'm unfit to eulogize the man. I'm barely caught up with words and works for the National Rifle Association. Yet he was here and then his time has come.
